We are proud to have co-ops and interns working & learning in a variety of important roles, including
finance, legal, IT, supply chain, engineering, electrical, engineering technology (industrial),
communications, metal fabrication, pipefitting, and welding.
Justin Drapeau was just looking for a new learning experience for the summer. The Dalhousie University grad joined the Integrated Data Environment (IDE) team, part of the effort that is building Canada’s new naval fleet, for a co-op term. Justin quickly saw the scope of knowledge involved in the team’s important work and eagerly embraced his studies. At the end of the summer, Justin was offered permanent employment upon graduation. Justin says that he is “so grateful for the opportunity to work in an environment which both challenges me and allows me to continue learning as I progress in my career.”

GRADUATE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
Participate in a two-year development opportunity for newly graduated engineering or business students that offers you a deep exposure to different areas of Irving Shipbuilding through four six-month rotations across our business to prepare you for a career with Irving Shipbuilding.
